As a freelance writer, marketer and website designer,
with a Home Office in rural Montana, I get solitude.
Solitude often breeds creativity.
Uncertainty in life
also breeds creativity.
I find building something tangible --
from words and images and sound
(you might choose wood and stone,
fabric, flowers, or food and spice)
it helps provide clarity.
Creativity is an act of sanity.
It is a means to carve away...to find the core.
It reinforces a sense of control.
It gives hope that we can cope
with the effects of an interesting life.
'Cuz flying out of our minds
is not a long-term option.
